The authenticity of the Gospel of Barnabas hinges on a deeper question—whether Jesus is truly God incarnate. If He is not, the current New Testament gospels lose their foundation, making the quest for a genuine gospel essential. The Dead Sea Scrolls, The Gospel of Barnabas, and the New Testament collectively provide strong support for the authenticity of the Gospel of Barnabas, opening new avenues of research. Since their discovery in 1947, the Dead Sea Scrolls have challenged traditional Christian claims, offering no solid proof to reinforce New Testament-based beliefs. Yusseff’s thesis argues that Jesus did not intend to abolish the Abrahamic faith or start a new religion centered on a divine sacrifice. Instead, He continued the Hebrew tradition, expanding its scope beyond the narrow Israelite context. This expansion set the stage for the eventual end of the Israelite era, a transformation completed by another son of Abraham, Muhammad (pbuh), who universalized the Abrahamic faith further.
