By Ibn Daud, Ibn Daud Books, available in hardback or paperback. Unhealthy addictions and depression are widespread—some of us find the uncertainty and emotional darkness weighing heavily on us. Seven hundred years ago, a diligent Muslim scholar shared a cost-free, universal psychotherapeutic remedy, writing: "Happiness comes with sincere du'ā'." He was Al-Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah (RA); his teacher was Ibn Taymiyyah (RA).
Following in the footsteps of our pious predecessors, we too seek pathways to accepted prayers and eternal reward within the tradition of the Holy Qur'ān and authentic ahādīth (Prophetic sayings). This book builds on our debut 'A Handbook of Spiritual Medicine' and isn't merely a compilation of recommended du'ā's. Rather, it offers a carefully considered framework that aligns our emotions with the most beautiful du'ā's, each with a profound constructive purpose.
The aim is to guide us with grace and noble etiquette towards the ma'arifat (deeper knowledge of Allāh swt) and istiqāmah (steadfastness) that every Muslim seeks at heart.
