Muslims: Life In The Present-Day World

This book deals with topics, which are related to a Muslim’s life in this world (dunya ). It deals with the duties and obligations of a Muslim in this world ( dunya ) towards man in general, starting with his family members, his daily dealings with others in the society. It also discusses the challenges facing the Muslim nation (ummah) today and the way its responsibilities should be discharged. The primary thrust of the book is that today Muslims are falling behind other nations in many respects in this world (dunya) due to their rigid attitude not to change their circumstances by following the guidance of Allah as laid down in the Quran:Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves. The author holds the view that this book is complementary to his earlier book Islam Basic Beliefs (AS Noordeen, 1999), which covered topics relating to the fundamental beliefs of Muslims as laid down in the Quran and the Hadith of Prophet Muhammad.
