Islamic Books and Clothing (IBC) was established in October 2003, yet its founders have been actively providing high quality Islamic merchandise since 1993. Spurred on by the lack of a fulltime Islamic outlet in Melbourne, IBC opened its first retail store on Sydney Road , Coburg in the psychological heartland of Melbourne 's Muslim community.

IBC is dedicated to ensuring that Islam is promoted in a balanced professional manner, instilling into its customers a sense of pride and satisfaction in dealing with such an organisation.

Appropriate Islamic clothing for males and females, be it for everyday wear or for a special event was once a challenge to find in Australia. IBC is meeting the needs of the growing discerning Muslim consumer, who wants to ensure their dress code meets specified guidelines and is simultaneously fashionable. IBC goes to great lengths to achieve this dual goal.

Our focus is the Australian Muslim generation – the children, raised and educated here in Australia who are proud to be both Australian and Muslim. With in excess of 300 titles specifically for children we hope there is something to meet everybody's needs. We pride ourselves in being ‘the children's book specialist'.

IBC also stocks in excess of 1000 books, covering all possible subjects. Not all are currently online as new titles are added weekly. Our goal is to provide Australia 's widest range of Islamic books in English. We believe we are well on the way to doing so, we may be there already.

We endeavour to bring to the whole community not only books and clothing but also educational and entertaining Islamic appropriate material in the form of Videos, DVD's, CD's, Audio Tapes and Software.

IBC is conscious of the need to not only provide Islamic material of the highest quality, but to also ensure its affordability. Price should never be a deterrent in developing one's knowledge of Islam. We believe we provide good quality items at reasonable prices.
